I hope you can help me, I need help, I am new at Open Source altogether!

I have a specific problem getting rdiff-backup and Windows cygwin installed
properly. It has beaten me, I have been struggling with it for about 5 days
making 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

I am trying to get rdiff-backup setup on a Windows XP machine. Using cygwin.
I have been following the "Install rdiff Backup Windows" instructions. But
get stuck at "python setup.py build" area. I just cant seem to work out
what paths need to be set.

Specifics are:
$python setup.py --librsync-dir=//usr/lib/librsync-0.9.7 build (***I have
tried many combinations, but none have worked for me!***)
running build
running build_py
running build_ext
building 'rdiff_backup._librsync' extension
gcc -share -Wl,--enable-auto-image-base
build/temp.cygwin-1.5.14-i686-2.4/_librsyncmodule.o -L//usr/lib/librsync-0.9
.7/lib -L/usr/lib/pyhon2.4/config -lrsync -lpython2.4 -o
build/lib.cygwin-1.5.14-i686-2.4/rdiff_backup/_librsync.dll
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-cygwin/3.3.3/../../../../i686-pc-cygwin/bin/ld:
cannot find -lrsync
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status 1

it took me alot of fiddling to get this to work for me.
I built some installers that should take care of it.
I haven't updated to the latest rdiff-backup versions yet - its still on
0.13.4, but it should work for you.

It does indeed work, very good work! This at least gives $LUSER's the
possibility to use it too ;)
