I've been using rdiff-backup successfully for some time on various
Linux distros, but I'm looking now at installing it on Debian stable.
Unfortunately Debian stable has Python 2.1 and rdiff-backup requires
2.2. I'm reluctant to upgrade Python on the Debian stable system as that
implies many other package upgrades, including libc6.
The default rdiff-backup package on Debian stable is 0.6, which is
somewhat dated now. Has anyone else put the latest rdiff-backup on
Debian stable and, if so, what approach did you use?
Thanks,
Keith
