Post rdiff-crash: why does it crash?
I run rdiff-0.12.7 on gentoo kernel 2.6.9 with librsync-0.9.6

Doing the backups I get the following error, but why:
$rdiff-backup -v5 --exclude-other-filesystems --exclude '/etc/shadow*'
--exclude '/tmp/*' --exclude '/usr/tmp/*' --exclude '/var/tmp/*' --exclude
'/usr/portage/distfiles/*' / /mnt/central/SAVE/debox/system/

Yes, I mounted the backup target location as nfs with nolock option. Should I
try to make a backup via ssh?

Thank you for your help.

I would try that, yes.

Do you know how to work with SSH keys and such? - If not, see
