Some people noticed that rdiff-backup was crashing trying to read
extended attributes from directories like /dev or /proc. The problem
was in the linux kernel's VFS code apparently. But recent kernels
should fix the problem. (Thanks to Iustin Pop for tracking this
down.)
If you run Fedora, upgrade to version 2.6.14-1.1653_FC4, released
yesterday.
