Well it may be a plug, but it's justified IMHO for an open-source
product that I had not heard of and that is based on rdiff-backup.
Safekeep is not mentioned at
http://www.nongnu.org/rdiff-backup/related.html. Looks good enough for
me to wish I had seen it earlier. But is it only for Linux clients?
For the time being yes, for two main reasons:
* when we started rdiff-backup did not run properly in Windows
* as I haven't heard any requests for a Windows port, and we don't
need one.
It should also run on windows, but I'm sure it will need tweaks.
Of course, help with such a port will be much appreciated...
P.S. Speaking of new features, the development versions has support
for much more flexible DB dumps, nicer load characteristics (via nice),
and traffic shaping (via trickle), all just one setting away
