Nathan,
I thought I would first tell you how much I appreciate the work you have
done on rsnapshot. Before I found your solution I was going to write
scripts to do the exact same thing myself... So much nicer to just apt-get!
Anyway I was wondering if there was a way to change the name of the
intervals after the fact... I'm afraid I would lose the hard links just
changing the directory names and the config file.
The reason I want to do this is so that when I ls the directory (or view it
via samba) the backups are sorted with most recent on top. All I need to do
is add a number to the interval names so that they sort in order... E.g.
1-hourly 2-weekly ect.
Oh and one more thing... I think there is a bug somewhere, for when I try to
use the -t switch I get an error:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
rsnapshot encountered an error! The program was invoked with these options:
/usr/bin/rsnapshot -t daily
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is entered as described in your howto?!?
Thanks again for all of your work!
Joe
