Post how to provide arguments to copy (cp) command - the default
Hi,

is it possible to specify the arguments passed to "cp" before rsync is
run?

This is done:

/bin/cp -al /mnt/home/daily.0 /mnt/home/daily.1

However the option "-a" does produce many "errors" because my
destination (cifs) is not able to preserve some attributes (e.g. owner
and group).
rsync does complain about this too - but i can specify rsync args to
make it work without complaining about failing to preserve some
attributes (which is ok for me).

But how to do this for the cp command too (man page did not tell me
something useful here)?

regards

Torsten
