Hi!
I'm using rsnapshot 1.2.1, and one day I noticed the whole backup had failed
because (unluckily) the first host was down..
When I tried manual ssh connection to the host (which was down) it would
stall forever.. This is not the normal case, the host was kind of up (some of
the services working), but ssh would not work.. After reboot everything was
ok again.
On the rsnapshot backup-server the ssh+rsync process was waiting for
something to happen.. and it was waiting "forever", until I killed it.
Whole backup failed because the script didn't go on to the other hosts..
this is bad.
Is there some way to force timeout for rsnapshot ssh/rsync processes?
This has never happened before.. but I'd like to make sure it won't happen
again.
There was not even errors in the log.. because the log was not yet written!
