Hallo, Andres,

Here is the output from full debug mode:

# rsnapshot -V daily
Setting locale to POSIX "C"
echo 30201 > /var/run/rsnapshot.pid
/backup2/daily.6 not present (yet), nothing to delete
/backup2/daily.5 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
/backup2/daily.4 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
mv /backup2/daily.3/ /backup2/daily.4/
mv /backup2/daily.2/ /backup2/daily.3/
/backup2/daily.1 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
/backup2/daily.0 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
mv /backup2/hourly.5/ /backup2/daily.0/
rm -f /var/run/rsnapshot.pid
/usr/bin/logger -i -p user.info -t rsnapshot /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot
-V \     daily: completed successfully
# rsnapshot -V weekly
Setting locale to POSIX "C"
echo 5175 > /var/run/rsnapshot.pid
/backup2/weekly.3 not present (yet), nothing to delete
/backup2/weekly.2 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
/backup2/weekly.1 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
/backup2/weekly.0 not present (yet), nothing to rotate
/backup2/daily.6 not present (yet), nothing to copy
rm -f /var/run/rsnapshot.pid
/usr/bin/logger -i -p user.info -t rsnapshot /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot
-V \     weekly: completed successfully

What could be wrong?

Just wait about 5 weeks. "not present (yet)" will vanish, day for day,
then week for week.

How long have you waited? Only the lowest interval does an actual
backup, everything else is renaming directories (check the
documentation).

Ah ok.. but in this case it doesnt create any daily.01 directory. in
the snapshot directory within the config.

Also that command

rsnapshot daily runs in 2 seconds.

That's another problem. Look into the log file: the daily backups are
renumbered (if they exist).
There was no daily.1 - therefore it wasn't renumberes to daily.2
