rsnapshot prompts for password

Post rsnapshot prompts for password
Hey Guys,

rsnapshot is a great product.

But my configurations prompts for password for the
same server after every folder that is in the scripts
that is backed up.

I want to make the backup happen everything without
any user intervention. Is there any way for rsnapshot
not to ask for password. There ought to be some way to
save the password in a file or read from a file.

Thanks in advance

Hi Navneet,

The preferred way is to use SSH public/private key pairs.

The rsnapshot HOWTO has some mentions of this. Here is another HOWTO I
found which explains setting up the SSH keys in more detail:

Good luck!
