How do I view data thats on a tape?

Post How do I view data thats on a tape?
I have recently taken over as "the netbackup guy" in my new job.
Now I have found this huge box filled with tapes but have NO IDEA whats on them. most are marked for infinity retention but I have no clue if it is actual data that needs to be kept forever or if its something that was marked infinity with un important data on it.
As I am running low on scratch, I am wondering "is there a way to view what data is on a tape" using the giu perhaps?

Thanks

What I think your really after is a list of what files are included in a given backup image.

For that take a gander at the "bpflist" command. It's very handy.

Thanks thats what I wanted. I just needed to see what was on a tape to figure out retention and what to do with it or what was it.
