Hi All,
Does anyone here has experience to migrate Netbackup 6.0 MP7 from HPUX to Solaris? is it just copy the netbackup catalog only?

This technote says that you can /must not do it
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/267137.htm

But this technote gives you instruction how to do it
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/337970.htm

Read and choose…
I had successfully follow the second technote ones.

IMO, those characterizations of the content of the cited technotes
can be improved:

This technote says that you can /must not do it
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/267137.htm

No, that two-year-old technote that says support will 1) help you
recover if you try it yourself and 2) support you after a
migration/merge/clustering/move/rename if PS performs it.

But this technote gives you instruction how to do it
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/337970.htm

And this three-week-old technote says, for Unix/Linux platform
changes, that you can do it yourself with "catalog backup, catalog
restore to new system, done."

The 1st TN covers platform migration, which should be performed by
Symantec, regardless of the hostname change.

The second one is related to switching from 32-bit to 64-bit or vice
versa by sticking with the same OS. And, hostname must remain the
same.
