Hello all,

Just set up LiveUpdate for the first time, and was trying to use it to update a 7.1.0 client to 7.1.0.2.

It says that it found no updates to install...It is because you can't use LiveUpdate to make such a minor change. Would it only work, for example to go from 7.1 to 7.2?

LiveUpdate for 7.1.0.2 is supported. From the Web site
(http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH16
5302):
"The NetBackup 7.1.0.2 LiveUpdate containers include all the files
distributed as part of NetBackup 7.1.0.2."

and the four bundles (win ia64, win x86, win x86 and Unix) are
available there.

Unless LU has changed since 6.5, it's not the easiest thing to set up
(understatement) and get working. Make sure you have the correct lU
packages, they've visible on the specified URL, the client end of LU
is set up, the LU policy is setup, and a bunch of other details.
Sorry I'm not more specific; I gave up on it after a partially
successful trial.
