Subject: [Veritas-bu] Netbackup "Media Manager error 90, invalid volume
pool" msg
Hi,
I have a Solaris 8 box that is running Netbackup Business Server 4.5.
My backup job exits with a code 96 "Unable to allocate new media.
Storage unit has none available". When I check the problem log it
has an error that preceeds error 96. It says "Media manager error
90, invalid volume pool, host=cougar2" (cougar2 is my host name).
My policy is set to pull from my scratch volume pool and there are
available tapes in the pool. I get the same results if I try pulling
from
the Netbackup pool. I have found no reference to error 90 on the
Veratas support site. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
