Monitoring Backup Jobs Remotely

Hi all,

Just woudering if there's anyone here who could possibly help me out.

I remotely manage around 56 Servers, all servers are all over the country and each server is a different domain/Client.

The servers all have Arcserve 11 and higher, currently we have setup all server to email us to confirm if the backup works, fails or is incomplete.

Does anyone know of a better method, we currently use in house Whats Up console that monitors all client servers but only for PING.

Here is some thing you can try out, let me know if this is what you wanted.

Go in to Arcserve manager -> Job status.

Right Brightstor Backup Servers and select option New server group.

Here you can add the master server of one domain and under that you can add client machines.

Same way you can do for all servers on different domains.

After adding all the servers, you need to expand them and give credentials and then double click on the remote master servers to be displayed on the same screen.

Hence you can monitor the backups from the same backup server.
