EC SHARING VIOLATION

Hi All,

I got this sharing violation error the other day for a file that was in a local settings temp directory for one of our users. The file was in a directory called "1". so ..........temp1nameoffile

Thing is when I went into arcserv to find the file and remove it from trying to be backed up or some sort of solution (I am completley new to this by the way) I could not find the file or directory...it was not in the view. I followed the path in the warning exactly but as soon as I got to temp there was no directory called "1" in temp.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong here?

Kind Regards

Jimi

Perhaps the file is really a "temp" file and it was created and kept locked and then later removed by some application.

Yeah good point, so that would not have affected the backup as a whole right?

It will impact the backup as a whole only from the perspective of the job status which would be Incomplete instead of Complete.

If it continues to happen consider adding a Directory or File Exclude Filter.
