Failed to connect to Database

Hi, There!
I´m Trying to login in Manager and getting the following message (translating from portuguese):

The server <MYSERVER> Failed to Authenticate <MYDOMAINMYUSER>:
The CA ARCSERVE Backup Database are not responding. Please verify if the CA ARCSERVE Backup Database service is running. (EC=268).

SQL Server is running and I have access to asdb using the Management Studio

Does the account have local/domain admin rights?
Does the account have sysadmin rights to the db?

I'm Trying to logon as Active Directory Administrator and both (CA and SQL Server) are selected to integrated Authentication
