We've been using rsnapshot with cronic (http://habilis.net/cronic/) running as such:
/usr/local/bin/cronic /usr/bin/rsnapshot sync ; /usr/local/bin/cronic /usr/bin/rsnapshot hourly
What does the result code: 2 below mean?
Cronic detected failure or error output for the command:
/usr/bin/rsnapshot sync
