Open VMS to windows

I have an alpha 1200 running open VMS 8.3 and want to back this up to a HD on a windows machine. Can HP DATA protecor achive this?

What version of D/P are you using? Are you using tapes? what is your retention period? How critical is this data? I assume it's critical. Back this up to tapes ( Tape Copy them and send the copies offsite ). If you use VTL, create a LONG-TERM pool and keep the data on the VTL if space allows you.
