A Tech Target, that is. You may have already received an email from Tech Target that started out like this:
For more about how this will (or will not) impact Backup Central, as well as the business idea I’m working on, click Read More.
Please note that the paragraph that started TechTarget’s email said that I will continue to pursue my career as an independent consultant. My position at TechTarget allows significant time for me to maintain Backup Central and to continue building my new business (which you’ll hear about in due time).
Nothing on Backup Central will change. What this does do is free up my brain that was looking for a job and allows me to use it for blogging, answering forum questions, etc. (Look for my upcoming comments on TSM 6.0.) It also allows me to continue doing these backup road shows and dedupe schools that I love so much. I love talking to and talking with real people using real technology. I can’t wait to see many of you in the dozens of Tech Target events that I will be speaking at this year. Next week is St. Louis and San Antonio. The week after that is London.
Thanks for tuning in!

Glad to hear it! There are some great folks over there, and they’re lucky to have you. Plus, you were pretty much working for them anyway, what with the 200 speaking engagements they scheduled!
Congratulations and welcome to IT journalism. Do I detect the adroit hand of Jo Maitland here?
Chris.
Great news. Love Tech Target. They always give me good excuses to get out of the office. Looking forward to see you in Chicago next month.
Congrats Curtis, well deserved. Looking forward to meeting up at some of the events.
Good move. Hope to see you soon at one of the events.
Just finished my St. Louis and San Antonio dedupe schools.
Sounds like it is time to re-subscribe to all of the TechTarget email lists.
Congrats Curtis, well deserved.
