My First Virtual Trade Show!

I've got a virtual trade show coming up on November 29th .  If you've never been to one, its like a webinar on steroids.  Click "Read More" to see more information.

This will be my first virtual trade show, so I can't wait to "see you there" on November 29th.  (Just like a real trade show, you should register in advance.)

We've virtualized servers, storage, and tape drives, so why not trade shows?  I asked my friends over at TechTarget how a virtual trade show is different than a webinar, and it sounds like it's really trying to mirror the trade show experience without having to leave your desk.  Here's what they said:

Live Videocasts and Webcasts with W. Curtis Preston, on how to make backup and recovery more reliable and the hot backup technologies you should be considering

Virtual booths from the top storage vendors in the industry where you can have live interaction with reps from backup technology providers and download demos and product information

Vendor webcasts where sponsors explain the latest backup technologies and how they can help you solve your backup and recovery challenges

Vendor webcasts where sponsors explain the latest backup technologies and how they can help you solve your backup and recovery challenges

A live, one hour, Q&A session with W. Curtis Preston, where you get your questions answered and you hear Curtis' responses to the questions posed by your peers

And just like a real event, you'll have a chance to win great prize, like the new, hot Apple iPhone or a signed copy of Curtis Preston's new book, "Backup and Recovery". All of this takes place in a slick, easy to navigate interface that provides a virtual seminar experience – right from your desktop!

So it's like SimCity but with speakers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Like I said, I'll "see you there!."   Click here to register for the virtual trade show .
